Re: Time to move on but not to forgive or forget.
I don鈥檛 think the NDP government cares whether or not 性视界传媒 voters vote for them in the next provincial election, as confident as they are of getting a large majority government without us. Certainly it seems that the federal government doesn鈥檛 care what 性视界传媒 thinks, likely seeing us as a small fish in a big pond full of voters. The 鈥榬ule of law鈥� banner hoisted above Canada on the world stage seems to have been set aside in our policing situation.
The NDP government鈥檚 decision to force the SPS on the citizens of 性视界传媒 is disrespectful to everyone involved: to the voters who are expected to pay for it, to their duly-elected mayor, to the RCMP, and even to the SPS, who are told they will soon be the POJ in 性视界传媒, a decision not based on merit, and when there are indications that they are simply not wanted. They are seen by some people as being puppets in a political figure鈥檚 self-important scheme to make a name for himself.
The resentment towards the NDP festering in many people in 性视界传媒 could have been avoided by letting the voters have their say through a binding referendum on the matter right from the start. But I suspect letting voters have a say on issues that affect them and their pocketbook will soon become a thing of the past for everyone in B.C., where the government uses their elected position and power to overrule municipal decisions and force their political will on the people.
Perhaps 性视界传媒, soon to be the biggest municipality in B.C., will have a bigger impact in the next provincial election than the NDP thinks now.
