Re: 性视界传媒 police battle is over at last 鈥 or is it?
Once again, Frank Bucholtz is right on the money as a local columnist and political commentator. The 鈥渙r not鈥 possibility is very real with a provincial election this Oct. 19.
Whoever becomes the next premier may not force 性视界传媒 to submit to its agenda. What if the next premier actually respected the rights of the local municipalities? While our lawyer premier may be legally correct in taking control of 性视界传媒鈥檚 policing situation, was it necessary or wise?
Will this become the election issue that gives us a new government? Why do the NDP refuse to allow the people of 性视界传媒 to have a binding policing referendum? What a colossal waste of money by our provincial government as this has unnecessarily dragged on.
Why was a referendum acceptable in 1952 to bring in the RCMP, and yet not allowed on whether we keep the RCMP? Many people in 性视界传媒 love the RCMP, warts and all. Please give us a real choice, an actual referendum for 性视界传媒 policing. Then we will be good for the next 70 years.
