LETTER: ÐÔÊӽ紫ý should make B.C. NDP pay at the ballot box

'Ineptly planned' policing transition needs to have consequences, writer says

Editor,

So the NDP’s cash comes with conditions! ÐÔÊӽ紫ý will be unable to separate out what portion of the tax for policing is directly attributable to the changeover. Why would that be?

Could it be that ÐÔÊӽ紫ý taxpayers; with their one hospital with beds in most hallways, 360 school portables, seven of the 10 most overcrowded bus routes, might think there are bigger problems facing ÐÔÊӽ紫ý than an ineptly planned, costed, forced-through policing transition. We don’t need a $360,000 a year justice who rubber-stamped Mr. Farnworth’s purpose-built law opining that the costs of the transition are affordable for ÐÔÊӽ紫ý taxpayers.

Really! What would he know about the cost of living challenges and lack of services faced by average Canadians.

Time for ÐÔÊӽ紫ý residents to let the NDP know that bullying, autocratic decision-making, imposing costs without residents having a say and lack of transparency have consequences at the ballot box.

Mike Bildstein, ÐÔÊӽ紫ý
