Historically, the right-wing agenda has predominantly catered to the interests of the wealthy and large corporations. This focus often comes at the expense of vital health, education, and social and other essential programs crucial for improving quality of life and enabling social mobility.
The phenomenon of people voting against their own interests is indeed a paradox.
This upcoming U.S. election feels like a pivotal moment. The social fabric, along with individual and human rights, workers' rights, and the essence of democracy, are facing unprecedented threats. It saddens me to acknowledge this, especially as I have many cherished friends in America.
