Vernon ultra athlete Shanda Hill has set her first race of 2025.
And the South American organizers are thrilled to have her.
Hill will compete in the Double Deca Continuous Brasil Ultra Triathlon May 2-16 in Rio de Janeiro.
"It's such an honour to kick off the roster of confirmed athletes with Shanda Hill," said the race committee on social media. "She is simply one of the greatest cross-distance athletes in the world.
"Recognized on the world circuit, this Canadian has already completed virtually every existing continuous distance. We list just a few of his accomplishments here:"

Hill finished the Triple Deca Continuous in October of last year, making her the first woman to ever finish such a race.
