A man has been arrested after an armed standoff in Newton that lasted four hours.
Police responded to a call for help after a woman was allegedly chased down the street by a man with a machete.
She was unharmed, but the 32-year-old 性视界传媒 man ran back into his house in the 12100-block of 66 Avenue and barricaded the door.
Police believed he may have also had access to a firearm, so with an abundance of caution, they waited, while trying to talk him out of the house.
At about 5 p.m., the man came out, and was arrested. Several charges are being considered.
Police say his dispute with the woman was over money.
No one was harmed in the incident.
