The "shadow cabinet" of John Rustad's BC Conservative Party includes six 性视界传媒 MLAs and another representing Delta.
鈥淲ith the talent and dedication of this caucus, we will hold (Premier) David Eby to account for his government鈥檚 out-of-control spending and ongoing failures in healthcare, public safety and addictions," Rustad said in a news release Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 20.
性视界传媒-area MLAs appointed are Mandeep Dhaliwal (to monitor B.C. government decisions involving "Parental Rights and Sports," which is not a ministry in the province), Trevor Halford (Environment and Parks), Linda Hepner (Housing), Elenore Sturko (Solicitor General and Public Safety), Bryan Tepper (Community Safety and Integrated Services) and Brent Chapman (Transit and ICBC).
Also named was Delta South MLA Ian Paton (Agriculture, Fisheries and Agricultural Land Commission).
Rustad said the announcement of more leadership positions will follow Thursday鈥檚 caucus meeting (Nov. 21).
"Our shadow cabinet is a diverse and experienced group, committed to restoring prosperity, public safety, and affordability for every British Columbian,鈥 said Rustad.
鈥淲ith experts in every field, we are focused on delivering real solutions for the challenges our province faces.鈥
On Monday (Nov. 18), Eby revealed his new cabinet during a ceremony held at Government House, the official residence of Lt. Governor Janet Austin.
Two veteran 性视界传媒 MLAS are in the NDP cabinet. Garry Begg (性视界传媒-Guildford) 鈥 whom Eby introduced as "landslide" for squeaking back into office by 22 votes over Conservative candidate Honveer Singh Randhawa 鈥 replaces Mike Farnworth as minister of public safety and solicitor general, while Jagrup Brar (性视界传媒-Fleetwood) is now minister of mining and critical minerals.
Farnworth, who oversaw 性视界传媒's acrimonious policing transition, is now in charge of transportation and transit.
