The is organizing a postcard-art exhibit and sale to raise funds for a scholarship program for 性视界传媒 Festival of Dance Society.
Until Jan. 23 (extended deadline), anyone can mail in or drop off an art-filled postcard, to be sold for $10 each during a one-day sale Saturday, Feb. 1 at Newton Cultural Centre, 13530 72 Ave.
"We are looking for small artworks created by artists, community members, etc., in the size of a postcard, 4x6 inches," explained Cory Woodcock, administrative assistant for the arts council. "They can be in any 2D medium (drawing, painting, photography, collage, etc.), so long as they are the right size."
For free, would-be postcard artists can also pick up and use blank postcards available at the arts council office (at Newton Cultural Centre), where the finished art can be dropped off during operating hours, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday to Sunday.
"We have postcards already submitted from well-known local artists, but we'd love to have members of the community participate as well," Woodcock said. "If people can't submit postcards, we'd love to see them at the sale, helping to support local young athlete's dreams."

Also, the arts council has issued a call for Arts 2025, a juried exhibition of visual arts held annually at 性视界传媒 Art Gallery, May to July. The deadline for submissions is March 28, with entry details on .
