Editor,
The state of major thoroughfares in ÐÔÊӽ紫ý is shameful. Fall leaves are left to accumulate and turn into a slushy muck. It is rare to see a road sweeping machine in action on ÐÔÊӽ紫ý streets.
Sidewalks and walkways mostly remain covered with layers of leaves, slippery when wet — until a complaint is reported, usually after someone falls.
Look at other municipalities who take pride in their roads, and then look at the condition along 152nd Street, 72nd Avenue, Fraser Highway, etc. In the meantime, our taxes keep ramping up each year to pay for neglect.
