Santa made a surprise visit to a South ÐÔÊӽ紫ý boy last week with a special treat: a Christmas tree just for him.
His aunt and uncle have been using Red Truck Trees for their holiday trees each year and this year, they started talking with Max, four, about him getting his own tree to decorate.
"We have been getting trees from South ÐÔÊӽ紫ý's family-owned for the last few years. The owners, Linda and Larry, have been so kind and help us find the perfect tree every time," Max's aunt, Lisa Mitchell, said.
"I emailed Linda about having our tree special-delivered by their vintage red truck as I knew Max would be so excited. When Larry suggested Santa could deliver the tree, I knew that would be the highlight of our year!"
While Mitchell couldn't say how Red Truck Trees had a connection to Santa, she knew he would be so excited.
"With our plan set, I lured Max outside to help me 'fix' the Christmas lights. I knew he would be delighted seeing the vintage red truck coming down our street, but he could not believe his eyes and danced with joy when he saw Santa was driving," Mitchell noted in an email.
Although his parents were at work when Santa came, they heard all about the special visit.
In addition to the three-foot Nordmann fir Santa delivered specially for Max, they also got a nine-foot Nordmann fir for their main holiday tree.
While the delivery was a special service for Max, Mitchell couldn't say enough about the effort made by the local company.
When it was time to meet Santa in person, Max "...was a bit shy at first, but once he did a head count and realized his Babi (grandmother), aunt and uncle were all there, he wiped away (the) tears."
He then spent all afternoon decorating his little tree, she added.
"He could not believe Santa brought him his own tree!"
