Stand-up comedy veteran Ron Josol will headline the opening show for the 2024-25 Yuk Yuk's season.

The 2024-25 Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Spectacle theatre series is kicking off with a high-energy comedy weekend in White Rock and Abbotsford.

Headlined by L.A.-based stand-up comedy veteran Ron Josol, the show comes to Abbotsford’s Matsqui Centennial Auditorium (32315 South Fraser Way) Friday, Nov. 22, and White Rock’s Oceana PARC Playhouse (1532 Johnston Rd.) on Saturday, Nov. 23.

With more than 25 years of international acclaim – and a reputation for brilliantly funny insights on life, culture, and modern urban quirks – Josol will be joined by feature acts Rory Dunn and Cassidy Furman in a show hosted by Vancouver’s Brett Martin.

“I’m pumped to be hitting the stage in Abbotsford and White Rock," Josol said.

"There’s something special about performing in B.C. The energy is incredible, and I love connecting with local crowds," he added.

"Comedy is all about those shared laughs and stories, and I’m bringing my best material for two unforgettable nights."

Noted for his razor-sharp humour and culturally rich storytelling, Josol has captivated audiences across North America, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.

He's celebrated for a magnetic ability to connect with diverse audiences, whether reflecting on his Filipino heritage, modern life’s quirks, or sharing tales from a journey in stand-up comedy that began at the tender age of 18.

He has an Instagram following of over 120,000 fans, while his recent viral videos with Dry Bar Comedy have helped him reach an even bigger global audience and expand his career to new heights.

Josol's recent appearances on platforms like Kevin Hart’s LOL Network, Dry Bar Comedy, and NBC’s Last Call with Carson Daly, and his invitation to perform at NYC’s Comedy Cellar have further cemented his reputation as one of the most in-demand acts today.

Dunn and Furman will bring their own distinct comedic styles to keep the laughter going all night, while skilled host Martin can be counted on to engage the crowd from start to finish.

Tickets are limited and available now for $24 plus service fees (early bird pricing is available for a limited time only; regular tickets will be $29 plus service fees).
