Cloverdale鈥檚 prestigious business awards are back!
The ninth annual Clovies will be handed out this November and the Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations in several categories.
Scott Wheatley, the executive director of the Cloverdale Chamber, said as the voice of East 性视界传媒鈥檚 business community, the Chamber was excited to be announcing that nominations are finally open once again.
鈥淲e receive hundreds of nominations from members of our business community and this year we are thrilled to continue this tradition,鈥� he said.
He also urged people not to delay in getting their nominations in.
The annual awards recognize business people and citizens from East 性视界传媒, including Cloverdale, Clayton Heights, and Campbell Heights.
The winners will be unveiled at the Clovies Awards Gala set for Northview Golf and Country Club on Nov. 13.
Returning for the second year in a row is the award for Indigenous Business of the Year.

Wheatley said he鈥檚 working with Indigenous leader Brenda Knights, CEO of the Vancouver Native Housing Society, to bring the award to the Clovies.
Knights said she鈥檚 once again happy to be involved.
鈥淚鈥檓 honoured to be working with the Chamber again this year to help make Indigenous businesses be top-of-mind when consumers are making their buying decisions,鈥� Knights said.
Wheatley noted anyone can visit to nominate both businesses and people in several categories (see full list of categories below). The deadline to submit nominations is July 31.
Nominees will be announced sometime in the fall and the winners will be revealed at the Clovies Awards Gala at Northview.
The Clovies features both a live and silent auction, on-site entertainment, and a gourmet dinner.

This year鈥檚 categories are:
Not-For-Profit Organization of the Year: Honours a non-profit organization, which may include a charity, community association or society, that is making significant strides within its sphere of influence and adding value to the community.
New Business of the Year: Honours a 鈥渟tart-up鈥� with a minimum of six (6) months to a maximum of twenty-four (24) months since incorporation and is achieving outstanding results in a short period of time.
Young Entrepreneur of the Year: Recognizes a young 鈥渞ising star鈥�, 39 years of age or younger with entrepreneurial instincts, who is making a difference within his/her organization and the community.
Indigenous Business of the Year: Honours an organization that is majority Indigenous owned and is making strides putting reconciliation into action and supporting youth.
Bill Reid Memorial Business Person of the Year: Recognizes an individual with proven business acumen, who promotes the community at every opportunity and is an inspirational leader within his/her organization.
Excellence in Diversity, Equality and Inclusivity: Honours an organization that has made commitments to address societal disparity and injustice, and established or expanded diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives for their current and future workforce.
Business Excellence Large Business (20+ employees): Honours a larger business that exemplifies superior customer service while embracing innovation and providing a positive work environment for its employees to grow and develop.
Business Excellence Medium Business (10 鈥� 19 employees): Honours a medium business that exemplifies superior customer service while embracing innovation and providing a positive work environment for its employees to grow and develop.
Business Excellence Small Business (1-9 employees): Honours a small business that exemplifies superior customer service while embracing innovation and providing a positive work environment for its employees to grow and develop.
