For it鈥檚 seventh year, TEDx性视界传媒 returned as a forum for technology, entertainment and design (the 鈥淭ED鈥) and talks were delivered by a dozen interesting people, each in 18 minutes or less.
Hundreds attended the sold-out event Saturday (Jan. 18) at Bell Performing Arts Centre, including 性视界传媒 city councillors Linda Annis and Mike Bose.
"This is the first time we've sold-out, but we've been reasonably close," Alan Warburton, licensee and curator, said in a previous interview with the 性视界传媒 Now-Leader. "Last year I think we were about 30 or 40 short of being sold-out."
To start the day, the MEI Screaming Eagles marching band performed.
Speakers at the 2025 TEDx性视界传媒 are Beverley Elliott, Erez Avramov, Gabriella Lester, Janna Wale, Michelle Cameron Coulter, Mischa Oak, Morten Rand-Hendriksen, Rhona Segarra, Shannon Pearson, Simran Garcha, Suzanne Jabour and Vaclav Vincalek.
This year's entertainment lineup included performances by recording artist Richard Tichelman, a Bhangra lesson by Mandeep Sarkaria and Sullivan Dance.
Warburton noted in a previous interview that all speakers volunteer their time, and TEDx性视界传媒 admission fees cover expenses including theatre rental, food catering, and marketing costs. Tickets start at $59 (for students) and reach $99 for the Bell's best seats. Those without an in-theatre ticket could watch the live stream for $9.99 on .
Born in 2019 as TEDxBearCreekPark at 性视界传媒 City Hall, TEDx性视界传媒 has been held at the Bell theatre since 2020, save for an online-only version during COVID-19.
