The Canucks organization has renewed its affiliation with the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings.
The Wings made the announcement in a press release on Tuesday (July 30).
The new deal extends the partnership through the 2025-26 season. This agreement continues the initial agreement that began with the 2023-24 season.

We look forward to continuing that relationship for the next two seasons.鈥
The Wings finished the 2023-24 season as the sixth seed in the ECHL鈥檚 Western Conference and compiled a record of 38-30-4. They were then eliminated in the divisional semifinal round by the Toledo Walleye.
Some of the Abbotsford Canucks talent that played in Kalamazoo last season included: forwards Ty Glover and Cooper Walker, defenceman Chad Nychuk and goalie Jonathan Lemieux.

and he shared that the partnership had gone well and he expected talks of an extension to happen soon.

This season marks the 50th for the Wings, with a number of special activities planned. The team's home opener on Oct. 19 features an attempt to once again enter the Guinness World Record books for the most waving foam fingers simultaneously.

Kalamazoo will also be hosting the 2025 Warrior/ECHL Hockey Heritage Weekend in January. The Stanley Cup will be in the Wings home arena for that weekend, as well as the full lineup of NHL player awards. The Wings will wear specialty jerseys related to the weekend.
