Mr. Bruna Fenger鈥檚 story is the same as when the half penny was eliminated and some of his excuses to keep pennies in circulation are ridiculous.
Many European countries have eliminated the penny and now round everything of up or down to five cents. It does not make buyers lose anything.
As for gasoline purchases which are advertised mostly at .009 cents such should be outlawed as this is only to make the price look lower as do prices ending in .99 cents.
Hopefully our government will soon be smart enough to stop producing pennies as they cost more to make than they are worth especially with the present price of copper.
