The media is reporting the Liberal candidate Madison Fleischer in the upcoming federal byelection (in Cloverdale-Langley City) is facing about her claims of Indigenous heritage.  

The local M茅tis organization released a statement saying: "Waceya M茅tis Society wishes to distance itself from Madison's claims of M茅tis identity. We ask that Madison take the necessary steps to properly research and verify her Indigenous heritage before making any further public assertions.鈥�  

This comes after Liberal Randy Boissonnault just stepped down from cabinet for alleged incorrect claims about his Indigenous heritage.  

I think the only conclusion that Canadians can come to after hearing these reports, is that when it comes to the Liberals and the Indigenous People of Canada, the Liberals need a lot more 鈥淭ruth鈥� and a lot more 鈥淩econciliation."
