The Editor,
My daughter was born at 性视界传媒 Memorial Hospital (SMH) 34 years ago, and within the next few weeks she will be bringing her own child into this world.
The other day, she went to SMH for an ultrasound exam and had to wait 12 hours, and when she finally got to see a doctor for this exam, the doctor was called away and the exam was not completed.
Due to the high volume the clinic was in overdrive. They were sending people to other area hospitals such as Abbotsford. The doctors, nurses and support staff were all on overdrive; probably due to an under-staffing issue.

I recently turned on the news and the big story was about Justin Trudeau and his 鈥渇补肠别-辫补颈苍迟颈苍驳,鈥 and being labelled a racist. It wouldn鈥檛 matter what colour he painted his face, it鈥檚 irrelevant and a pile of childish nonsense.
Who cares? I know I don鈥檛.
Seeing my daughter being turned away at the hospital where she herself was born 鈥 and about to become a mother for the first time 鈥 really infuriates me.
What ever happened to common sense? Have we become a dysfunctional country? Maybe my grandchild would be better off not being a Canadian citizen, but perhaps a citizen of a more functional country.
