October 27, 1938 - February 20, 2021
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Vernon Thomas Lloyd at age 82. After coping with Amyloidosis for the past 12 years, he passed away at home. He is survived by Jean, his loving wife of 57 years, three children, Tom (Holly), Cheri Roberge (Kerry) and Glen (Dawn), and six grandchildren, Tyler, Jordan, Rhys, Julia, Peyton and Ruby.
Vern was born in Kamloops and grew up in Salmon Arm where he met his wife, Jean. He spent two years in the air force before joining BC Tel as an installer/repairman for the next 30 years.
In retirement, Vern and Jean spent many happy hours sharing laughter and love with their children and grandchildren at their cabin in the Shuswap. Vern did all the inside finishing, showcasing his fine woodworking skills which his whole family benefitted from.
Amongst other things, Vern will be fondly remembered for his uncanny ability to entertain and connect with five-year-olds. His family will miss him deeply and will carry the many wonderful memories of him with them always.
