Sylvia was born Nov. 21, 1939 in Flowing Well, Sask. and passed away May 4, 2020 in White Rock BC.
Sylvia was the youngest of 3 children and moved to BC with her family in 1940. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, playing piano, sewing, tennis and creative writing.
Sylvia married Bud WC Sawatzky in 1958 and had 3 children. She was trained as a Dental Assistant and later started her own interior decorator business with daughter, Paddi - "Make a House a Home". Sylvia enjoyed entertaining, hosting many dinner parties at their home and guests on their boat.
She leaves behind many friends, sister Ethel Rempel, children - Mike (Joanne), Paddi (Allan), Pamela (Ken), grandchildren - Kyle(Megan), Tyler/Hannah, Esther(Taylor), Paige(Austin), Alanna(James), Joshua(Rachel), Katelyn, and Shaylene, great grandchildren - River, Roger, Beth, Arthur and Samuel.
