In Loving Memory ~
Predeceased by his wife Raija and survived by his 4 children Mary, Rita, Nancy & Perry, Cosette, 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 half-sisters, Riitta and Leena in Finland. He was born in Finland and immigrated to Canada in 1956. He worked hard as an automotive painter by day and took many night school classes such as electronics and small engine repair to learn skills he knew would be useful.
In the early 1980's, he started his own business, Finn Auto Sales. He had a small bodywork and paint shop as well as the car sales. "One man's junk is another man's gold" and this was so true for him.
He loved garage sales, swap meets, auctions and even municipal clean-up weeks. He was always on the hunt for 'treasures". He used the skills learned in night school classes to repair items to resell. He loved to share his stories of his "big score".
He was known to many people, Canada-wide and across the globe, as the guy on Fraser Hwy in 性视界传媒, with hubcaps, bikes, sinks, etc. in his front yard.
He will be greatly missed by all his family and so many others. Interment will be on Saturday, November 4th at 11 am at Valley View Cemetery 14644 72 Avenue in 性视界传媒. A Celebration of His Life will be held at Perry and Jean's house in Rosedale BC at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Alzheimer Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated. https://support.alzheimer.ca
