Lucille Janzen, age 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 26th at Zion Park Manor, 性视界传媒 BC. Born in Daysland Alberta, Lucille spent her youth in Edmonton where she met her husband Dave - a union that lasted 65 years. In 1939, they relocated to Vancouver where she worked for Boeing Aircraft on Lulu Island. After the war-years she and husband Dave built 16 houses in the Lower Mainland. In 1958, she became a homemaker and raised her son Chuck. Lucille enjoyed life to its fullest. She loved to camp, read, dance, sew, and work in their gardens and flowerbeds. She became an excellent cook, and friends and relatives always remarked on how fantastic her creations were. She is survived by her loving husband Dave, son Chuck and his wife Janice, grandson Charles, and sisters Val and Eleanor. Lucille will be ever in the hearts of her family and friends, and remembered for her dedication to her husband and family, her commitment to her values and her ever-present sense of humor! The last couple of years Lucille resided at Zion Park Manor where a truly wonderful staff provided her with so much love, care and dignity that she felt comfortable, content and secure. A private Celebration of Life will be held for family members and friends on Friday, March 4th.
