Ellen HERBERT

HERBERT --- Ellen Pearl (nee Trebilco) passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on February 03, 2005 at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock. Ellen was born May 18, 1911 in Vancouver and lived most of her live in North Vancouver.

She was a North Vancouver pioneer for more than 70 years; her children were all born and grew up in North Van. The last 12 years she lived in White Rock at Kiwanis Village and Weatherby Pavillion.

She was predeceased by her parents William and Nellie Trebilco and her husband of 37 years, Stuart Herbert who died in 1968, and her sisters Gwen Peters, Margaret Dean and brother William Trebilco.

She is survived by her daughter Joy Elhers of Claresholm, Alta and two sons John (Carol) of Chilliwack and Robert (Pat) of White Rock. She had 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, 3 nieces and 3 nephews. She was affectionately know as "Pearl" and will be sadly missed by all her many friends and acquaintances. She touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Thanks and gratitude is extended to Dr. Benitiz, the Emergency Staff at Peace Arch Hospital and her caregivers at Weatherby Pavillion for the wonderful care and attention shown to her.

A memorial celebration of her life will be held at 1 o'clock on Friday, February11th, 2005 at Colebrook United Church 5441-125A Street in 性视界传媒 Rod MacKinnon officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Peace Arch Hospital Foundation in White Rock.
