Longtime resident of 性视界传媒 Centre, Sullivan and White Rock, Blackie passed away early Sunday, Feb 21st, with close family by his side.
Predeceased by his first wife Marilyn (Johnston) Harper, sons Mark and Blake, and second wife Marcella (Blohm) Little. Survived by daughter Paula Haskins, sister Elayne (Bruce) Harger, brother Wayne (Betty) Knowles, stepchildren Sandra (Ron), Jerry (Rochelle) and Michael Throssell, and their families.
As a young man Blackie boxed, played lacrosse, and football for the 性视界传媒 Rams. Among other interesting careers he was a long time volunteer firefighter at Hall 9 Sullivan, operated a farm in 性视界传媒, owned horses at Cloverdale Raceway and managed security and facilities at the Cloverdale Exhibition grounds. In retirement, Blackie and Marcie made several cross-country trips through Canada and the USA, traveled to Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Cook Islands and Macau.
Special thanks for the professionalism and kindness of the ER staff at Peace Arch Hospital, HAU staff at Royal Columbian, the White Rock Fire Dept and the BC Ambulance Service.
Donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice. No service by his request. Interment will be at the beautiful Little Mountain Cemetery in Chilliwack, with Marcie,
his mother Mildred and father Frank. "Always loved and will be forever missed"
