Two early morning shootings in Abbotsford may be linked, say police

Nobody injured but police believe Saturday morning shootings were targeted

Abbotsford Police were called to two reports of shots being fired early Saturday morning (Nov. 4).

The first call came at 3:19 a.m., in the 600 block of McCallum Road. The second call came within 10 minutes, in the 2100 block of Martens Street.

Const. Art Stele of the Abbotsford Police Department said officers at both scenes found evidence that indicated shooting in and around the exterior of two residences.

鈥淔ortunately, no residents sustained injury during the event,鈥 he added.

Members of the department鈥檚 major crime unit, with the assistance of patrol and the forensics, are in the initial phases of the investigations, with early indicators suggesting the event to have been targeted and possibly related.

No arrests had been made as of Saturday evening.

Investigators are asking anyone with information regarding the event, CCTV footage or dash-cam footage within the two areas to contact Abbotsford Police at 604-859-5225.
