The man who shot and killed 性视界传媒 teen Adem Aliu last year will be sentenced early next year after pleading guilty in B.C. Supreme Court.

Steven Brandon Mulligan-Brum, 21, was originally charged with second-degree murder after 17-year-old Aliu was gunned down on a North 性视界传媒 street on July 14, 2010. Mulligan-Brum was arrested 15 hours later and pleaded guilty to manslaughter early this month.

At the time of the killing, police said Aliu and some friends were slashing tires and kicking cars in the middle of the night when they incurred the wrath of a man who confronted the youths with a gun.

Police said Mulligan-Brum was known to them and was involved in the gang lifestyle.

Aliu was not known to police. Friends said the teen had moved to Canada a few years ago from Albania, to escape the violence in his homeland.

Mulligan-Brum will be sentenced Feb. 10. The charge of manslaughter carries a minimum prison sentence of four years.
