Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for the Fraser Valley Friday (Jan. 3), adding there may be slippery conditions.
Environment Canada said about five centimetres of snowfall accumulation is expected, beginning Friday afternoon. The snowfall is expected to ease by Friday night.
However, Environment Canada's warning says an easterly outflow winds will keep surface temperatures below or near freezing. It adds it could be slippery, and some highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate.
The warning is in effect for the eastern Fraser Valley, including Hope.
