No one was injured after shots were fired in an "interaction" between a man and property owner in Abbotsford on Sunday (Dec. 8).
According to a news release from Abbotsford Police Department, a property owner on Harris Road arrived to find a man on his property.
After an "interaction", police say the suspect discharged a firearm and fled. APD responded to the call just after 6:15 a.m. with the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Service, the Lower Mainland District Emergency Response Team, and RCMP Air Services.
Police searched the area but the man suspected of the shooting hasn't been found. He was last seen wearing a black hoody with a Quicksilver brand logo on the back, dark jeans and a light-coloured ball-cap.
"The Abbotsford Police Major Crime Unit is in the early stages of the investigation and believe this to be an isolated incident. It is also requested that residents and citizens in the area remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the Abbotsford Police Department," the news release reads.
