A fog advisory is in effect for areas of the Lower Mainland on Thursday (Dec. 5) morning.
The Environment Canada advisory expects near zero visibilty in fog for Metro Vancouver, Abbotsford and Mission until this afternoon.
鈥淎 ridge of high pressure over southern B.C. is creating favourable conditions for dense fog. The fog will lift this afternoon as a frontal system moves into the area,鈥� the advisory reads.
With the possibility of hazardous travel due to reduced visibility, DriveBC advised drivers to ensure tail lights are on before beginning a commute.
