A fire that was first reported near Harrison Lake on Saturday is now estimated to be about six hectares.
It is listed as the Chehalis River fire, and as of noon on Sunday was listed as human-caused and out-of-control, which is defined by BC Wildfire Service as not responding to suppression efforts.
There is a second fire in the area that is closer to the Village of Harrison Hot Springs and also listed as out-of-control. But this fire, identified as V10597, is currently listed at zero hectares, and under investigation. Both are to the west of Harrison Lake.
There are currently 66 active wildfires in the province.
