Northview, which hosted the PGA Tour from 1996 to 2002, offers two Arnold Palmer-designed golf courses and full practice centre, plus two restaurants and banquet facilities, supported by a team of more than 150 during the peak season.

At the heart of employee amenities is the new, state-of-the-art maintenance employee centre, a 5,000-square-foot facility with spacious men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 change rooms with showers, and comfortable common areas.
鈥淲e visited similar facilities at top courses around Puget Sound and southern B.C., and wanted to create a 鈥榟ome away from home鈥� for our team,鈥� explains Dave Fair, Golf Course Superintendent.
The result? 鈥淥ne of the most premier maintenance facilities in the Pacific Northwest!鈥� according to the U.S. Golf Association鈥檚 Larry Gilhuly.
Staff consultation was vital. For example, recognizing grounds crew work in all weather conditions, rain or shine, a comfortable place to change rain gear and clean up was important, explains Josh Chanasyk, assistant general manager.
鈥淚f they had an idea to make things better, we wanted that feedback,鈥� he says.
A roomy, well-outfitted staff area provides an enjoyable break room and comfortable space for morning meetings.
鈥淚t鈥檚 provided a real 鈥榃ow!鈥� factor. They really appreciate that we鈥檝e created a first-class space for them,鈥� Fair says.
The attention to detail invested in the staff centre also underscores to staff the importance of focusing on the details in their work. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a quality I learned early in my career and it鈥檚 one you can take forward in life,鈥� Fair says.
