鈥淲hen it鈥檚 someone this special, you want to trust your arrangement to the professionals,鈥� Bell says.
For Mother鈥檚 Day 鈥� the busiest week for most florists 鈥� Bell advises clients to come in early and to think about Mom鈥檚 favourite flowers and colours so they can create a unique arrangement personalized just for her. While spring鈥檚 pastel colours are typical favourites, vibrant orange, hot pink and lime green is a popular combination 鈥� crafted with many flowers grown right here in the Lower Mainland.
The 100-mile diet becomes the 80-kilometre bouquet
Just like more families are choosing local growers and producers for their groceries, flowers are no different.
鈥淥ur clients like to know their flowers were grown down the road in Langley or South 性视界传媒; they like to have that backstory behind their bouquet. In fact, while we鈥檙e pleased to offer roses from Ecuador and tropicals from Thailand and South Africa, most of what we have here comes from within 80 kilometres,鈥� reflects Bell, who enjoys meeting the growers and touring the farms and greenhouses. 鈥淚 can tell customers what鈥檚 coming up and what new varieties to watch for, and I can share with growers what customers might be looking for.鈥�
