Heads will be in the clouds at this summer, and that鈥檚 a great thing!
It its continued quest to provide a world-class experience for visitors of all ages, the park has added the Cloud Buster to its ride line-up. Rising 151 feet off the ground, above even the tallest trees on-site, 鈥測ou can see right across to the far end of the lake,鈥 says park owner Chris Steunenberg.
But while spectacular, the views aren鈥檛 really what riders are looking for.
It鈥檚 the drop.
Harnessed in a circle of seats, riders are winched to the top before plummeting back to earth in a free-fall reaching around 90kph 鈥 equivalent to about 4 1/2 Gs.
With delighted screams regularly ringing out, 鈥渢he response has been off-the-charts. It鈥檚 the most aggressive ride at the park,鈥 Steunenberg says.
Here鈥檚 how to check it all out:
鈥 First, plan ahead to save. 鈥淲e offer an incredible discount ticket available through the ,鈥 Steunenberg says. On the back of every waterpark ticket is a coupon for a $15 wristband to the Adventure Park to be used at a later date. That鈥檚 a savings of up to $11 and provides access to all rides 鈥 including the Cloud Buster!
鈥 Make the most of your day. 鈥淐ome early and stay late,鈥 Steunenberg advises, noting the park is . 鈥淲e open every day at noon and that first little while is quietest 鈥 the perfect time to check out the most popular rides.鈥
鈥 Take a stroll to get your bearings. One of last year鈥檚 new additions remains one of its best features: an elevated boardwalk that weaves through the trees and offering a unique perspective with great views of the park. 鈥淚f you haven鈥檛 been here before, you鈥檒l be blown away,鈥 Steunenberg says. 鈥淓verything is very carefully designed so that every ride has its own character. Be prepared to be amazed!鈥
鈥 Take a turn around the (mini) links. Adventure Park thrills don鈥檛 only come in the air or on the rails! Visit the wonderful world of , a cartoon mountain lumber camp with 18 different mini-golf holes, each with its own quirks and challenges. Hole No. 12 actually takes golfers through a cave beneath the Cloud Buster, and if you sink a hole-in-one on the 18th hole, the train鈥檚 horn will signal a free game!
