性视界传媒 fire crews called to Port Kells house fire

Firefighters called out about 9 p.m. Friday, no injuries reported

A fire tore through a single-story rancher with a basement in Port Kells Friday night (Jan. 11).

性视界传媒 Fire crews responded to a residential fire in the 18900 block of 92 Ave around 9 p.m., 性视界传媒 Fire Service assistant chief Greg McRobbie said. Neighbours reported that the home was occupied, but no one was home at the time of the fire.

When crews arrived, there was heavy smoke coming from the home, where the fire appeared to have been in the basement at the rear of the home, according to on-scene reports.

Eight firetrucks and 20 firefighters responded to the scene, along with five water tenders that brought water to the scene, as it is an area with no fire hydrants, McRobbie said.

"Crews were able to knock down the fire from the outside and then offensively attack the fire inside," McRobbie added. The fire was out within two hours.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but police in 性视界传媒 did not hold the scene, which they will normally do if it is considered suspicious.
