The same man was arrested three times within days in 性视界传媒, with the individual now in custody for alleged assault.
In the Fleetwood neighbourhood of the city, Randall Tremblay barricaded himself in his home on Monday (June 3) when police were on-scene following a report of an assault involving the man and his intimate partner at the home on 88 Avenue between 160 Street and 164 Street.
Tremblay was eventually taken into custody by police and members of the Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team (ERT).
The following day, the man was charged with one count of assault and was released by the courts, which the victim was informed on, 性视界传媒 RCMP state in a news release. Tremblay was released with conditions that included no contact with the victim, either directly or indirectly.
Tremblay did not follow these directions.
On Wednesday (June 5), police were following up with the victim in the case when they discovered that Tremblay had breached the conditions of his release, prompting him to be arrested once again. The accused appeared in court that same day, where he was then charged with two counts of breach of his release order.
Released on Thursday (June 6), 性视界传媒 RCMP say they found out Tremblay was breaching his court orders once again.
Police were outside a home in the 16200-block of 88 Avenue along with officers from ERT.
"Officers instructed Tremblay to exit his location; however, he barricaded himself and refused to exit," 性视界传媒 RCMP state.
According to neighbours of the home involved in the incident Thursday, police were calling on the suspect to exit the home, as they were under arrest. Using a tactical armoured vehicle, a drone and a robot, police surveilled the home, a Black Press Media freelancer witnessed while on scene.
Later that night, the ERT members broke all of the windows of the home and released tear gas canisters into the home, the freelancer said.
Hours later, Tremblay was arrested again and taken into custody, where he remains until his bail hearing set on June 10.
