A temporary roller rink at in 性视界传媒 will allow mall-goers to "Skate Stardust" for more than a month.

A 1,690 square-foot roller rink and lounge space will be set up in the shopping centre in an effort to "re-imagine" 性视界传媒's old Stardust Roller Rink, which operated at the mall in Guildford before moving to Whalley in the 1970s. 

Stardust was a landmark gathering spot until its closure in 2005. Now, mall operators want to let the good times roll again, from Sept. 12 until Oct. 31.

"Get ready to hit rewind, where a retro-themed atmosphere 鈥� complete with a vibrant graffiti wall, neon lights, and a DJ booth 鈥� will transport visitors to a time before Y2K, social media and smartphones," promises a news release sent from Nine Point Agency.

"Reopening Stardust is more than just a nod to the past; it鈥檚 a revival of the community spirit that once defined the time-honoured rink."

Rink admission will be free. All proceeds from $2 skate rental fees will be donated to 性视界传媒 Firefighters Charitable Society.

The temporary Skate Stardust rink will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Minimum age to participate is five. Guests are encouraged to bring their own gear, but skates and protective gear will be available to rent.

Kiran Deol, marketing manager at Guildford Town Centre, says Stardust naming rights have been secured, allowing mall operators "an opportunity to introduce the iconic roller rink to a new generation and bring it back to former fans."

Even though Stardust closed in Whalley in 2005, former rink employee Bonnie Burnside still hears Stardust stories from many people she meets. 鈥淔rom birthday parties to band nights, from all-night skates to roller hockey, Stardust played an important role in growing up in 性视界传媒," Burnside noted.
