Theatre in the Country's production of Mary Poppins: The Broadway Musical is a popular one, with several sold-out shows during the two-week run starting Wednesday, Nov. 27.
Based on the classic Disney film and original P.L. Travers stories, the show in Langley stars Terrelle Klose as Mary Poppins, the sensible English nanny with magical powers.
Other ÐÔÊӽ紫ý-based actors in the Dann Wilhelm-directed musical are Kate Bear as Winifred Banks, Rachelle Beaulieu as Mrs. Brill, Jacob Brand as Bert (understudy), Vanessa Klein as Miss Andrews, Jared McCune as Robertson Ay, young Samantha Alarcon as Michael Banks and dancer Abbye Mozar.
Reg Parks, Theatre in the Country’s artistic director, says audiences can look forward to stunning set designs, vibrant costumes and theatrical effects that will make Mary Poppins’ flights over the rooftops of London and the chalk-drawn streets of imagination come to life.
"We’re thrilled to bring Mary Poppins to Langley and to invite families and friends to join us for an unforgettable evening of live theatre," said Parks, who promises memorable moments and songs including A Spoonful of Sugar, Chim Chim Cher-ee and Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
