Actors Emma Geleynse, Felix Poteate and Dominic Reynaoud star in Pivot Theatre's production of "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) (Revised)."

Pivot Theatre urges the people of ÐÔÊӽ紫ý to experience all of Shakespeare in a single night.

For a week-plus run starting Friday night (Nov. 22), the Newton-based company is staging , billed as "a fast-paced, witty and physical show full of laughter for Shakespeare lovers and haters alike."

Show times at Newton Cultural Centre are Nov. 22, 23, 29 and 30 at 8 p.m., and on Sunday, Dec. 1 at 3 p.m. (a "relaxed matinee"), at 13530 72 Ave., ÐÔÊӽ紫ý.

The comedy, written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield, is directed by Foolish Productions' Lois Warwick and co-produced by Hana Nishimoto.

"This is a very high-energy, madcap romp through Shakespeare's entire body of work, by three amazing and talented actors, Emma Geleynse, Dominic Reynaud and Felix Poteate," raves Margaret Shearman, Pivot's executive and artistic director.

Armed with an array of costumes, props and plenty of improvisational comedy, the actors tackle the Bard’s entire repertoire, despite their shaky memories of lines and plots. "To recreate classic tragedies like Hamlet to lesser-known works such as Troilus and Cressida, the trio must get creative and enlist help from the audience to cover everything in one night," says a post on the Ticket Owl website.

Pivot Theatre aims to make performing arts more accessible and inclusive to celebrate our diverse community.

"We will be partnering with Cloverdale Community Kitchen in a food drive," Shearman added in an email. "I just confirmed yesterday that food is what they need most. The top nine items food banks need are canned proteins, canned beans, pasta and pasta sauce, pantry staples (flour, sugar), canned vegetables, cooking essentials (cooking oil, spices), baby formula and baby food. We encourage patrons to bring a donation when they come to the show."
