George Mackie Library is offering Playaway, an entire digital audiobook pre-loaded on a compact two-ounce player.

It鈥檚 a perfect weight and size, and operating it is as simple as pressing play.

The format has been popular among children and teens who enjoy the 鈥渃ool factor鈥� of having a portable player, adults who enjoy catching up with the latest bestsellers while on the go, and older adults, including the visually impaired, who don鈥檛 have to worry about transferring content to a player or learning a new piece of technology.

Currently, Playaway is only available at George Mackie Library and one other FVRL library.

North Delta residents are welcome to browse the new collection, which consists of 275 titles of mostly adult fiction and non-fiction and some young adult titles.
