Terrible that the person arrested in the killing of Tori Dunn has a record as long as Highway 1 and was just released.
I watched the press (conference) with Mr. Aron Dunn, and my heart goes to him. He addressed that the justice system let him down, as in many similar cases.
What must happen that will be difficult because we have been walking down the path laid out for use: We must stop calling it a "justice system." Too many cases have proven there is no justice. Please refer to it as the "legal system," which of course is also a loose description.
This legal system is controlled by the courts, judges and lawyers; even the governments have no say.
The citizens have not been protected from criminals. We are the guilty ones for thinking we have a "justice" system.
Terrible.
