Abbotsford Canucks head coach Manny Malhotra has been immortalized in bobblehead form and 2,000 lucky fans will get a chance to take the exclusive product home on Sunday, Dec. 15.
The club announced the promotion will see the first 2,000 fans in the building receive the limited edition item.
The Canucks host the Manitoba Moose that afternoon, with doors opening at 3 p.m. Face-off is set for 4 p.m.

The Malhotra bobblehead features the first-year American Hockey League head coach and former Vancouver Canucks forward in his practice ensemble with a helmet, skates, stick, whistle and a coaches clipboard. The item is being sponsored by Vancouver-based Blast Media Print.
This marks the first time an Abbotsford Canucks personality has been turned into a bobblehead.
The Vancouver Canucks gave away Roberto Luongo bobbleheads prior to his Ring of Honour celebration last December.

Bobbleheads in sports were originally used as promotional products by Major League Baseball teams in the 1960s and were created using paper-mache, but a big surge in popularity occurred in the late-1990s. The more modern style blew up when the San Francisco Giants gave away Willie Mays ceramic bobbleheads in 1999. In the years that followed the design was used to create all sorts of people in popular culture.
The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum officially opened in 2016 and National Bobblehead Day in the US was first declared on Jan. 7, 2015. Sadly, Canada does not yet have an officially recognized National Bobblehead Day.
