Members of the community and the city of 性视界传媒 helped out at the Cloverdale Community Kitchen recently.
Workers from the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), Great Canadian Entertainment, and the City of 性视界传媒 were in Cloverdale Dec. 19 to donate socks, blankets, food, and their time as they helped prepare meals for the less fortunate for the Christmas holidays.
鈥淎t BCLC, we wanted to do something really special this winter and work with our casino service providers, like those at Great Canadian Entertainment, to make a real impact in communities across B.C.,鈥 Jordan O鈥橤enski, spokesperson for BCLC, said in a press release. 鈥淲e wanted to do more to spark that vitally important sense of human connection, especially at this time of year.鈥
The three groups donated blankets, 100 pairs of socks, and provided 100 hot meals, which they also helped prepare. The meals were given to people in need from Cloverdale, 性视界传媒, and Langley.
The volunteers also helped give out the socks and blankets.
The Cloverdale Community Kitchen has been operating in Cloverdale since 2011. CCK serves about 45,000 meals a year.
