The Electric Express will pull out of Cloverdale Station at the beginning of December.

Allen Aubert, secretary for the Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society (FVHRS), said plans are well underway for the iconic Christmas train. The annual event is always themed, 鈥淐hristmas in Cloverdale 100 years ago.鈥 As such, the Dec. 7-8 experience will be set in 1924.

Only 400 hundred tickets for the 鈥淓lectric Express鈥 are available.

鈥淥nline ticket sales have started and people are quickly booking,鈥 Aubert said. 鈥淭here are four events each day with 200 tickets available each day.鈥

He added there will be live music performances on the Cloverdale Station platform. He said the station, the interurban train, and Father Christmas鈥檚 workshop will all be decorated to reflect the season.

鈥淭here will be an opportunity to visit Father Christmas and his Elves,鈥 Aubert explained. 鈥淭he special Christmas village model railway will be operating too.鈥

The Christmas trains will have characters in Christmas costumes. The Roaring Twenties thespians will reenact Christmas as it was in 1924.

鈥淭he restored interurban train is over 100 years old too.鈥

The Electric Express rides along the Cloverdale spur track on its way to Father Christmas鈥檚 workshop.

鈥淔ollowing the visit, he rides back to Cloverdale station,鈥 Aubert added. 鈥淭he event takes one hour and is sure to (put everyone) in the Christmas spirit.鈥

The Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society operates the railway out of Cloverdale Station and the Restoration Car Barn at Hwy 10 and 176A Street, in 性视界传媒鈥攚hich they now call the Cloverdale Heritage Railway Campus.
