Crescent Beach Sail Past set for Dec. 15 in South 性视界传媒

Waterfront event also an opportunity to give to food bank, help local community

Plenty of people often enjoy Crescent Beach, even in the colder months, but this Sunday (Dec. 15), there's even more reason to head to the South 性视界传媒 waterfront.

That's when the Crescent Beach Yacht Club holds its annual sail past event, a favourite among the club's members and the public alike.

Set to go from 5 to 6 p.m. Dec. 15, the parade of brightly decorated boats will travel from Crescent Beach Marina, east up the Nicomekl River to Nico Wynd Golf Course, and then back down the river (westbound), under the rail bridge, past Blackie Spit to the Crescent Beach pier and beyond, according to the CYBC. The sparkling vessels then return home to the marina.

Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue's vessel will lead the flotilla with White Rock Sea Tours, followed by private members from the Crescent Beach Yacht Club and the RCMP Shipriders, weather conditions permitting.

This year, the CBYA is collecting food bank donations to give back to the local community during the holidays, with donation bins located at the yacht club, 12555 Crescent Rd., 性视界传媒, and Natalino鈥檚 Pizza, 12211 Beecher St. (open 4-8 p.m.) in Crescent Beach.

Bins are available until the event and will be collected and delivered to the food bank the next day, the CYBC noted.
