Playoff football returns to Cloverdale Athletic Park this weekend.

The Cloverdale Community Football Association (CCFA) has four teams in action on Sunday, Nov. 10.

Yeera Sami, CCFA president, said the association鈥檚 teams have done very well over the season and in their initial playoff rounds. Now he has four teams in semi-final games at CAP.

鈥淚t鈥檚 been an amazing season even with all the challenges with available field times,鈥 Sami said. 鈥淓xcellent work by the coaching staff.鈥

Sami said the Peewee Bobcats are undefeated and took down the North Delta Longhorns 36-6 in their quarter-final game last week. He said his Atom Lions team edged out the Royal City Hyacks 8-0. The Atom Tigers squad dumped the South Delta Rams by a whopping 56-0. His other playoff team, the Junior Bantam Cougars had a bye.

鈥淏oth the Atom Tigers and Atom Lions are going in with 9-1 records,鈥 he added. 鈥淭heir only losses came against each other in earlier in the season match-ups.鈥

He said along with the Bobcats, the Cougars are going into the weekend undefeated too.

鈥淭he combined total wins and loses for the four CCFA teams in three divisions are 34 wins and 2 losses.鈥

Sami said the VMFL finals, scheduled for Bear Creek Park Nov. 16-17, have now been moved to field #3 at South 性视界传媒 Athletic Park. He said this is 鈥渧ery disappointing鈥 for players and parents as there are no dressing rooms available there and no bleachers.

鈥淭he Bear Creek football field, of course with no turf, was supposed to be released for use in September, but the long-awaited stadium in 性视界传媒 had many delays, which pushed back the completion of the new tracks,鈥 Sami explained. 鈥淲e suggested and offered CCFA times at CAP, but the City was unable to get times off soccer to make this happen at CAP with all the amenities. Very disappointing for the kids.鈥

VMFL winners will play in the provincial finals Nov. 23-24 in Langford.

鈥(We) are hoping to represent in three of the six divisions at the provincials,鈥 Sami added.

Sundays semi-final games at CAP are set for:
10 a.m. - #2 CCFA Lions vs. #3 CHFC Hyacks (Atom Flag)
11:45 a.m. - #1  CCFA TIgers vs. #4 WRSS Titans (Atom Flag)
1:30 p.m. - #1 CCFA Bobcats vs.  #4 WRSS Titans Blue (Peewee)
3:30 p.m. - #1 CCFA Cougars vs. #4 WWMF Warriors (Junior Bantam)
