Wish you could still see your favorite oldies group perform?

If you head to downtown 性视界传媒 June 18, you鈥檒l experience the next best thing.

Tribute bands of The Beatles, ABBA, Fleetwood Mac, Billy Joel, Rod Stewart and Johnny Cash will all perform at Central City Plaza for 性视界传媒 Fest Downtown (formerly the Whalley Festival).

Travel back in rock 鈥榥鈥� roll time to see performers sing classics such as 鈥淗elp,鈥� 鈥淒ancing Queen,鈥� and 鈥淯ptown Girl.鈥�

The free community event is from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will also feature plenty of family activities and displays, as well as an interactive and entertaining Youth Zone for teens.

鈥淭his year, we have renamed the festival 性视界传媒 Fest Downtown to reflect the change in our neighbourhood,鈥� says Bonnie Burnside, president of Whalley Community Association. 鈥淏ut you can expect to see a lot of the familiar organizations that participated in previous Whalley Festivals. The North 性视界传媒 Lions, Whalley Daycare and lots of others will be there to serve up food and fun for families of all ages.鈥�

Central City Plaza is located at 13450 102 Ave., across from the North 性视界传媒 Recreation Centre and 性视界传媒 Central SkyTrain station.
