Singer was joined by some big-name company on a concert stage in England last weekend.
The Free/Bad Company vocalist 鈥 who lives in South 性视界传媒, at least part-time 鈥 was joined by Brian Johnson, of AC/DC fame, and Led Zeppelin鈥檚 Robert Plant for a cover of Barrett Strong鈥檚 song 鈥淢oney (That鈥檚 What I Want),鈥 during Rodgers鈥 sold-out 鈥淔ree Spirit鈥 concert in Oxford on Sunday (May 14).
鈥淭hey totally made (the song) their own,鈥 reported Rodgers鈥 publicity firm, PRO International, in an email.
Fans captured the moment in several videos since posted to Youtube.
鈥淧lant walked on, harmonica and mic in hand, followed by Brian Johnson with a tambourine and mic in hand. The crowd couldn鈥檛 quite believe their eyes. This is the first time that Johnson has performed in the past year due to (severe) ear issues.鈥
Rodgers and Plant are longtime friends going back to the days when Bad Company and Led Zeppelin were both signed to the Swan Song/Atlantic record labels, in the mid-1970s.
鈥淛ohnson and Rodgers have met a couple of times through the years and both hail from the North Country in England 鈥 Rodgers from Middlesborough and Johnson from Newcastle,鈥 noted PRO.
Rodgers鈥 current tour of the U.K. concludes with a concert at London鈥檚 famous Royal Albert Hall on May 28.
