A beloved holiday tradition is set to light up Harrison Lake once again.
Harrison Hot Springs will be all aglow as Lights by the Lake takes of on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Opening ceremonies at Civic Plaza will feature a welcome from the Sts'ailes First Nation and a performance from the Sts'ailes Sasquatch Dancers.
Holiday lights will be on display along a full kilometre of southern coast of the lake, including light displays featuring local wildlife, the legendary Sasquatch and their many adventures and a life-size illuminated moose. There will be free hot chocolate, a pet parade and a visit from Jolly Old Saint Nick himself, Santa Claus.
Lights by the Lake will feature a number of musical performances, including Todd Richard, Harrison Hot Springs Elementary School, the Angelus Carolers Trio, Cascade Chorus and A Little Moore Magic (as characters from Disney's "Frozen"). A countdown to lights and fireworks is set for about 5:30 p.m.
This event is free of charge, and a fully-paved promenade along the lake makes it wheelchair and stroller-friendly.
Lights by the Lake will be on display until Sunday, Jan. 12.
