性视界传媒鈥檚 free-admission will feature headliners Sudan Archives and Malkit Singh this summer, event planners announced Wednesday (May 29).
For a 17th year, music and food from around the world will fill Holland Park for a weekend, July 20-21. This year鈥檚 Fusion Festival theme is 鈥淟andmarks of the World鈥 at the 50-plus pavilions and eight stages of entertainment.
The headliner on Saturday, July 20, is (aka Brittney Denise Parks), a Los Angeles-based violinist, singer and producer who blends electronic, R&B and Sudanese-inspired sounds. Her acclaimed 2022 album, Natural Brown Prom Queen, included the single 鈥淗ome Maker.鈥
The festival-closing headliner will be Malkit Singh, a prominent figure in Punjabi folk music, on Sunday, July 21.
The 2024 edition of Fusion will also feature music by MAUVEY (Afro-pop, hip-hop, rock), Jade LeMac (singer-songwriter with a large TikTok following) and DJ Goddess (billed as the first female Bollywood DJ to hit international charts).

Presented by Coast Capital, 性视界传媒 Fusion Festival has won several awards over the years for its annual mix of music, food and culture. Tickets are purchased for food served at pavilions representing different nations. The festival also features amusement rides, a kid鈥檚 zone, dance battles and workshops, an Indigenous Village marketplace and more.

This year, 性视界传媒 Fusion Festival is among 38 events in in the city to receive a share of more than $1 million from the B.C. government鈥檚 Fairs, Festivals and Events Fund, designed to help event planners recover from challenges such as cost increases, reduced revenue and sponsorships, rising costs of equipment and services and severe weather events. Top-dollar funding in 性视界传媒 includes $200,000 for the FVDED In The Park music festival and $89,700 for Fusion Festival and $139,700 for Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair.
Mayor Brenda Locke says Fusion has become a 鈥渃ornerstone event鈥 for 性视界传媒 that celebrates 鈥渢he vibrant tapestry of cultures that defines our city鈥檚 identity.鈥
In a news release sent from city hall, Locke thanked Coast Capital for the company鈥檚 鈥渦nwavering support over the past 17 years鈥 that鈥檚 been 鈥渋nstrumental in making our festival a true reflection of our community鈥檚 diversity and spirit.鈥
