With Christine Mohr announcing her exit from the 性视界传媒-based organization, Options Community Services Society has launched a search for a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Mohr, to retire from the position next June, has been "the backbone and heart of Options" since she joined the organization in January 2006, according to Kamaljit Lehal, board chair.
鈥淚t takes a true leader to create the kind of accelerated growth, enhanced community profile and momentum towards financial sustainability that Options has experienced in Christine鈥檚 tenure, while nurturing a unique, compassionate and family-oriented culture," Lehal says in .
"Christine has been that leader for almost two decades and will leave a solid legacy upon which the new CEO can build.鈥
With more than 100 community programs, 600 staff, hundreds of volunteers and 35 locations, the non-profit Options aims to respond to to a range of service needs for individuals and families, primarily in 性视界传媒, Delta, White Rock and Langley.
Last January, Options and its sister society, Habitat Housing Society, helped open Habitat@81st, an affordable-housing building on the corner of King George Boulevard and 81 Avenue.
In September at Bell Performing Arts Centre in 性视界传媒, Canadian entertainer Jann Arden headlined of a gala concert for Options' efforts to build affordable housing in the city.
Now, Options has picked PFM Executive Search to lead the recruitment process for its next CEO, with plans to name a replacement for Mohr next spring.
"This is a pivotal moment for Options," noted Jeff Scott, board co-chair. "We are confident that our well-structured CEO search and transition process will ensure success both in the short-term and long-term."
